DESCRIPTION
Fortius®is a long-acting injectable antimicrobial solution, whose active ingredient is Enrofloxacin - a molecule that belongs to the family of thrid-generation Fluoroquinolones; This molecule has broad spectrum and acts by inhibiting DNA gyrase, an enzyme necessary for the replication of bacterial DNA, in addition to interfering with other biosynthetic mechanisms, thereby achieving a bactericidal effect.

Fortius® LA spreads rapidly to target organs such as: lungs, kidneys, skin, and uterus. It reaches high concentrations in phagocytes, neutrophils, and macrophages. Its high diffusion power reaches intracellular microorganisms, in addition, the presentation of bacterial resistance is minimal.
INDICATIONS
Fortius® can be used in cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs.
It is indicated for the treatment of respiratory infections caused by bacteria such as: Pasteurella haemolytica, (Manheimia haemolytica) Pasteurella, multocida, Haemophilussomnus and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae.
Gastrointestinal infections and diarrheal syndrome caused by Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp, Shigella spp, Enterococcus spp.
Genitourinary infections caused by enterobacteria and pyogenic bacteria.
Some cases of mastitis caused by streptococci, staphylococci, and enterobacteria, in addition to other infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to Enrofloxacin.
DOSAGE
Administer 1 to 3 ml/40 kg of weight (equivalent 2.5 to 7.5 mg/kg) single dose, repeat if necessary after 72 hours. The duration of treatment is at the discretion of the veterinarian.
ROUTES OF ADMINISTRATION
Intramuscular or subcutaneous. Do not administer more than 15ml application site.
