EFFIPRO^® Fipronil-Based Spot-On: One Solution, Dual Protection

EFFIPRO^® Spot-On Solution offers a unique protection to protect both the animal and its home from flea contamination . It outperforms fipronil + IGR flea and ticks spot-on thanks to the long lasting PPF effect, to prevent the emergence of flea eggs and larvae in the home up to 3 months (instead of 2). Ideal for indoor ecto protection.

FORMULA

EFFIPRO^® Spot-On is a 10% w/v fipronil-based Spot-on solution (1ml of solution = 100mg of fipronil) which has the same qualitative and quantitative composition in terms of active substance (fipronil) as Frontline^® Spot-on (Merial) with different excipients.

EFFIPRO^® Spot-On contains fast-acting fipronil, which will kill fleas on your pet within within 24 hours and ticks within the 48 hours.

INDICATIONS

1. EFFIPRO^® Spot-On can be used for the treatment of flea (Ctenocephalides spp.) and tick (Dermacentor reticulatus) infestations in dogs and cats.
2. Insecticidal efficacy against new infestations with adult fleas persists for up to 8 weeks in dogs. 
3. The product has a persistent acaricidal efficacy against ticks (Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor reticulatus) for up to 4 weeks in dogs and up to 2 weeks in cats. 
4. EFFIPRO^® Spot-On can be used as part of a treatment strategy for the control of Flea Allergy Dermatitis in dogs.

KEY CHARACTERISTICS

1. Fipronil (activity on contact) + Pyriproxyfen (long-lasting Insect Growth Regulator - IGR)
2. 1 month adulticides & 3 months of protection against re-infestation
3. IGR; mimics  the chemical structure of juvenile hormone and inhibits its development (sterilize adult fleas) 
4. Pyriproxyfen is resistant to sunlight and persistent on the pet skin even when shampooed (vs. 5-Methoprene) giving efficacy for up to 3 months

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

EFFIPRO^® Spot-On is presented in thermoformed single-dose pipettes.

• Fleas: Every 4 to 8 weeks in dogs, and every 4 weeks in cats
• Ticks: Every 4 weeks in both dogs and cats
